Calories in Apricots

 

When I think of calories in apricots, I think of dried apricots, because that is all we had when I was a child and it was a real treat. As you can see in the chart below there are about the same number of calories in an apricot whether it is a raw fresh apricot or a dried apricot; however, when you look at 100 grams of apricot you see a completely different story. I do not know about you but I can easily eat a whole package of dried apricots which is maybe 12 apricots, but there is no way I would want to eat 12 raw apricots…that would be way too filling. That is why when you are trying to lose weight it is much better to eat the fresh fruit when possible.
